Our Ranches
On May 3, 2000, Rocky Mountain Land & Cattle (the livestock division of Golden Valley Natural) became the FIRST ranch in the United States to be certified by the federal government in their USDA/EU (United States Department of Agriculture / European Union) Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC) program.
This NHTC program is not the industry’s program as many natural beef brands state, but this program is administered by the USDA. Golden Valley Natural was the first and today is still the leader in the Natural Beef Industry.
 Rocky Mountain Land & Cattle is comprised of several ranches throughout Idaho. Our goal is to produce the finest quality beef on the market today. Our ranches were the first in the United States to qualify and be listed under the USDA/EU (European Union) Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC) program. This USDA administered program insures that cattle have not received growth hormones at any time in their life. We do this to insure that our customers are receiving the finest quality, safest beef that can be raised.
 Our cattle are raised in a clean mountain environment where the lush green grass is plentiful and nutritious. This provides the cattle an opportunity to grow and produce at their maximum genetic potential. Our goal is to have one of the finest breeding herds in the nation. Our experienced people are the key to this important program. These stewards are well qualified to manage and perform all required functions during the production process. They are keenly aware of the best management practices to insure a healthy, thriving, content animal.
