Thought broccoli salad couldn’t get better? Think again, because we’ve substituted the bacon for a tastier and healthier option—Golden Valley Natural Turkey Jerky. This recipe adds excitement to the usual deli salad with a gamier flavor and texture. Here’s our new favorite broccoli salad:
Turkey Jerky Broccoli Salad
1 bag of Golden Valley Natural Turkey Jerky
1 head broccoli
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup raisins
8 ounces sharp Cheddar, cut into small pieces
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1. Cut Golden Valley Natural Turkey Jerky into 1/4-inch pieces.
2. Trim the broccoli stem (remove the leaves and stalk). Wash the broccoli head and cut into bite-size pieces. Place in a large bowl.
3. Add the turkey jerky pieces, onion, raisins and cheese into the large bowl.
4. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, vinegar, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Add to broccoli mix and toss gently.
