If you have tried some of our previous salad recipes, you know that bits of all natural beef jerky with the right ingredients make some of the best salads. That just proves how much amazing stuff you can come up with, given the right ingredients.
Here are some tips to follow when making your own mason jar.
The first thing you need to understand is the importance of getting the right order of ingredients in the jar.
Wet at the bottom. Putting your salad dressing at the bottom guarantees that your salad ingredients don’t get soggy.
Put the chunky stuff in. The next layer would be your grains and other chunky stuff. You can also put your beef jerky bits or proteins in on this layer. This keeps your more delicate ingredients from getting wet.
Some fixins next. Shaved nuts, raisins, cheeses will go well in this layer. As a rule, these are the ingredients you want to be kept dry just until that moment you are ready to put them in your mouth.
Anything leafy go in last. The greens have to go last. This is actually a genius way of arranging it as it creates a salad bed when you pour your mason jar into a bowl for consumption.
